U.S. Senate is opened with Prayer!

July 13, 2007

Yesterday morning, at the beginning of the U.S. Senate, there was an opening prayer. However, this prayer is not at all like the prayer our Founding Fathers would have given. This prayer was led and given by Hindu chaplain Rajan Zed. This prayer was not a prayer to the God of Heaven and Earth, who created everything by the word of his power in the space of six days and all very good. This was this man’s pantheistic view of God. The prayer read as follows.

“Let us pray. We meditate on the transcendental glory of the
deity supreme who is inside the heart of the Earth, inside the life of the sky, and inside the soul of the heaven.”

Where is our country going? Where will we stop? No longer do the men of our government seek the blessing of the LORD in prayer. No longer do we seek to obey Him in our court systems and Senate floors. Our country is no nation under God. It is a country under judgment. Ought we then to say “God Bless America?” How can we when the men who represent us in D.C. are calling out to the devil, through this Hindu chaplain to guide them? No. We must not pray God Bless America. Rather, we must pray “God make America to sink to their knees in repentance!”
